I’m building a mini ramp in my backyard to skateboard on all day. I find transition the most enjoyable form of daily skate training.
Pics behind the fold.
Overall design:
I made a mistake here and specified the 2×6’s on the transition section to be on a radius and of a fixed number, instead of a separated by a fixed distance. I went back into the drawings after putting the first transition together and learned that the distance between beams penned out to 8’5″, which understandably left me a beam short. Alas, back to the Despot for more lumber.
Coping setup, including underlayment and skate surface.
